Funding News


We have funding available in many areas of the country to help lower the cost of training to you.   To qualify, you should be 16 years or over, engaged in the agricultural or food industry, and not in full time education.

In England –  Supported by the EU and Defra:

  • South West:  Animal health and welfare skills.  We work with the Duchy College and Royal Agricultural College.  Saving to you of 50% on the full price.

Rest of England: 

  • Uplands  -  We work with ADAS [link] to deliver free workshops and seminars for people who work on, or farm land 50% of which is in a severely disadvantaged area.
  • Non uplands – We work with AHDB [link] to deliver animal health and welfare seminars at a 70% saving to you.  We also deliver a fully funded programme of training on BVD.
  • Wales:  Animal health and welfare skills through Farming Connect [link].  A saving of 80% to you, to be claimed back after the event.
  • Scotland:  Through the SRDP farmers can sign up to training as part of their LMO [link].  A saving of 75% to you.
  • Northern Ireland:  DARD look after training funds for farmers.
