Do you know why new born lambs die on your farm? Do you know when they die? Do you want to find out? Come along to this two part practical workshop where you will learn how to perform a basic neonatal lamb post-mortem. Topics which will be covered include: · Identifying the stage of death · Identifying changes consistent with starvation/hypothermia · Indicators of a difficult lambing · The appearance of certain common infectious causes. By the end of this two part workshop you will have performed several supervised post-mortems yourself.
